Health Funds
We are fully equipped with a HICAPS terminal meaning we can give quotes and process claims here in our practice – saving you the trouble of doing it at home! By being able to give you a quote over the terminal prior to completing dental treatment, there are no unpleasant surprises at the end of the visit.
We also process bulk billing for Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) and Department of Veteran Affairs.
Maximum Benefits for Health Fund Members
Each Health Fund is different and the amount you get back depends on your individual level of cover, however, we are always more than happy to help you figure out which treatment option is best for you and aim to ensure you are getting the maximum benefit back. If you are covered by Bupa or HCF you will be glad to know that we are a Members Choice Provider for both. However, we can still make general claims for all funds using our on-site HICAPS terminal. Your cover is dependent on your level of membership. To find out more, please contact your Health Fund Provider for yearly restrictions and rebate amounts specific to your coverage or contact us for a quote on specific treatment. If your Health Fund is not active or if it declines at the time of processing, private fees apply.
What if I do not have a Health Fund?
We understand that dental treatment can often come at a time when bills and other unexpected expenses arise which is why we try to make our treatments as affordable as possible to our patients. Our fees reflect the confidence we have in our experience, effectiveness, and highly personalised treatments that we offer but we will always suggest alternatives that fit our patients’ lives and budgets. You can be certain that we will fully discuss your treatment from the beginning, including any fees involved.
Maximum Benefits for Health Fund Members
The CDBS was established in 2014 as a national means-tested program. It provides eligible children aged 0–17 years with a capped benefit for basic dental services. The CDBS is administered under the Dental Benefits Act 2008 and the Dental Benefit Rules 2014.
Contact our surgery to see if your child is eligible. All you will need is their Medicare Card Number and their reference number on the card.
